Recent Buys.

Hey everyone! For some reason, I'm feeling so disconnected to the blogosphere lately. Maybe a lot of you do because it's the holidays and we're spending more time with our loved ones? In any case, it's time for a legitimate post, hopefully. A little photo sesh with my sister.

And remember those Minnetonka moccasin booties I mentioned she scored at the Salvation Army?

Now for some wardrobe establishment; some of my most recent purchases.

BDU boots. To my disgust, I found socks left in them by it's previous owner. C'mon soldier!

Whew! I also bought a lightweight cream scarf, but I wasn't satisfied with the resolution of the photo. Moving on. Today, I witnessed a wedding proposal which induced a sea of misty-eyed family members and friends. The event was actually a birthday party for my god-sister and she ended up getting proposed to. Ha! Talk about an insurmountable birthday present.

I'll be leaving to Guam in a couple of weeks, allegedly. My uncle was trying to get my sister and I to leave the day after Christmas which is insane to me. I really have no clue of the exact date we'll be leaving, but I guess this is what you expect traveling on someone else's expense. This is the third time I will be leaving my family, and although my sister will be coming with me this time, it's still disheartening to experience. The first time I was 18 and heading off to New York to start fashion school. I swear I was completely overcome throughout the entirety of my trip. I balled when I said my goodbyes, when I landed in Chicago for a painful eight hour layover, the first night I was in PA, and finally the first night I was in Manhattan. I guess I have a phobia of detaching myself from my family, my mom especially. But I'll probably get over it once I'm back home.

If I don't post in the upcoming days, I just want to wish every single one of you readers a Merry Christmas!

The Ugly Dress.

Surprisingly, my sister willingly participated in my spontaneous crave for new outfit shots. Along with the boots, this is the dress we thrifted a while ago at the Goodwill. Though even with this outfit, I'm still not quite sure as to how I would style the dress otherwise. I mean I'm not entirely in love with this look, but immediacy fulfilled my crave. Without the belt, the bust is quite loose, so essentially without any support it just sort of hangs there. But it's okay for now because my sister werrked it out.

Anyway, I went to the dentist today which was a complete disaster. My appointment was at 2PM; I wasn't seen until 2:45; I didn't leave until 4:30. Let's just say any type of service on a military post is 10x slower than a civilian service outside that post. The slogan holds true: hurry up and wait.

The Birthday Dinner.

Unfortunately, my youth has been surrendered to time, and now I am an old hag. Haha! It didn't hit me until my mom was approaching me with a delicious-looking birthday cake lit with two separate candles claiming my age: 2 0. I think I almost fainted when I saw it in front of my face, tangible and whole. But whatever, because I KNOW I have gained insight on life and all that important theoretical knowledge especially over these past two years. I am glad I am one to mature with age, though I will always hold on to my youth. Anyway, my more than amazing mom cooked me some of my favorite dishes for my birthday dinner, all to include garlic fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, and pancit palabok which is a noodle dish from the Filipino cuisine. Oh and all my cousins have called me and continue to call me Jey Boy, but when I introduced myself to one cousin I hadn't seen in a while, he confused himself and added another Jey obviously making it Jey Jey Boy. It's stuck in the family since then. Haha! I love you mom, and thank you again for a memorable day!

Check Yourself.

Dinner with my mommas and my sister tonight at the most authentic Italian restaurant in Central TX: Olive Garden. As we were being seated, I passed a waiter who looked me straight up and down like I was some alien. Which is fine because he's probably never seen anyone this damn gorgeous in his life. Haha nahh but as I passed him and caught him glaring at me, I voiced very loudly to him "Lovess it, right?" Ugh, douche.

My siblangs lumberjacking it.

Sorry if this is similar to my previous posts' outfit; I promise I rotate my wardrobe in even intervals, and I took that picture about a month ago anyway. Haha! My sister WERRKING it in the last picture.

And to all two of you who asked about my dilemma with heartbreakers: I encountered a situation where I was led on by someone with no intentions to pursue a relationship with me, and I take intimacy VERY seriously so naturally I was quite heartbroken. That's all--but thanks for caring to ask ya'll!
